Rocksmith European release date still on hold

Although it’s been out in the US for nearly two months already, Rocksmith, one of the most anticipated games of the year, is still not available in Europe, or Africa or Australia, for that matter. This is all because of a copyright issue brought onĀ  namely the UK Band called, wait for it… Rocksmith. They’ve been in negotiations with Ubisoft, the producers of the game and have still not come to an agreement. In fact they have gone as far as filing the issue with the European Union’s tradmark and copyright agency.
Ubisoft have been accused of using bully tactics to get away with not paying for the name and all the rest. I just wish they would hurry up and get this over and done with so a new generation of guitarists can be made to rid the world of the current spate of rubbish pop tunes that I blame on being created by Singstar. Really, just because you think you can sing, doesn’t mean you should!

The game is incredible. Not only can you play games like you’re used to on Guitar Hero and on your console, but you don’t have to rely on those crappy guitar controllers. You can use your own, real life, guitar. As long as you can plug it in, that is.
